There has been a significant development.
Timothy Charles Holmseth (Write Into Action) recently spoke with investigators that are known to the FBI, U.S. Attorney's Office, and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Only the first names (Julie and Diane) of the investigators will be used in this article for safety reasons.
"I spoke with Julie Allyn at the U.S. Attorney's Office," Julie told Write Into Action. "I said 'look this whole Heinrich thing is a pile of B.S. - there's some information you didn't get."
"You're missing a lot of evidence from 1997 - there's a confession," Julie told Attorney Allyn.

Julie works with a Minnesota investigator, Diane, who has worked for years with a private investigator, Larry Peart, Peart and Associates, based out of St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Diane has a recording of a murder confession that gives exact details of what happened and implicates Jacob Wetterling's father, Jerry Wetterling, as being involved.
"You could tell she was feeling like what the fuck - did I get thrown under the bus here?" Julie said.
According to Julie, Attorney Allyn has requested the evidence be presented to her.

Heinrich led authorities to bones that were supposedly Jacob, but records show the bones turned out to be animal bones.
According to a source inside the investigation the kidnapping involved three men:
• Michael Bahner
• Richard Bahner
• Lou Kohls
The Bahner’s said in a recorded confession that “Jerry Wetterling” put “Lou Kohls” up to it.
